Star City with the Barkada: Open Days, Rides and a Plan

Star City is open Wednesday to Sunday, sits in the CCP Complex, and has three headline attractions: an inverted coaster, a snow attraction and the Star Wheel. For a barkada, plan it as a park afternoon, sunset at Harbour Square in the same complex, and a group dinner a ride away at MOA.

The basics

  • Open days: Wednesday to Sunday. Do not send the group chat a Monday or Tuesday date.
  • What it is: a theme park with indoor and outdoor areas.
  • Attractions: an inverted coaster, a snow attraction and the Star Wheel.
  • Entry: ticketed, at about ₱500 to ₱1,500 a head.
  • Where: the CCP Complex.

That range is a guide, not a ticket price, so nobody should transfer money to the organiser on the strength of it. Check the park's own page for today's ticket and gate hours, then post a screenshot in the chat.

The three rides, in a sensible order

With three headline attractions, the plan is simple.

  1. The inverted coaster first. Do it before anyone eats, while the whole group is still together and keen.
  2. The snow attraction in the middle. It is the change of pace between rides.
  3. The Star Wheel last. A wheel is the one ride where a barkada can talk, so it suits the end of the park visit.

Anything else in the park is a bonus the group finds on foot. Agree on a meeting point at the gate before anyone wanders, and a time to regroup.

The park has both indoor and outdoor areas. On a wet day, ask at the gate which rides are running before buying tickets for everyone.

Sunset by the yachts

Harbour Square is a free yacht-side esplanade in the same complex, listed for sunset. After a ticketed afternoon, a free hour by the water gives the budget a rest.

Army Navy also has a location there, with burgers and burritos at under ₱500 a head. Treat it as a snack stop. For ten people, dinner is better booked at MOA.

The CCP main building is shut, with reopening targeted for the end of February 2027, so the park and the square are the two stops in this complex. For the rest of the night the group needs a ride.

Dinner that seats everyone

Each complex on this side of the bay is walkable inside, and it is a ride between them. The group tables are at MOA.

  • Cabalen in SM MOA is a Filipino buffet with kare-kare, at ₱500 to ₱1,500 a head, and it takes big groups. A buffet is the easy answer for a tired, hungry group because nobody waits on anyone else's order.
  • China Blue by Jereme Leung at the Conrad has private rooms and bay views, at ₱1,500 and up a head. That is the choice when the park day is also a celebration.

Call ahead with the headcount for either.

Budget and bookings

  • Park ticket: about ₱500 to ₱1,500 a head. The park's page has the real price.
  • Sunset: free.
  • Snack at the square: under ₱500 a head.
  • Buffet dinner at MOA: ₱500 to ₱1,500 a head, so ₱5,000 to ₱15,000 for ten.
  • Rides: to the CCP Complex, then to MOA, then home. Add the fares.

What to settle before the day: the ticket price, a table for the full headcount, and who is booking the cars.

A barkada night you can plan today

The planner covers Cubao now, and the Pasay Bay Area is next; see the areas page. For a Cubao group night with bowling lanes and a table matched to the headcount, use the barkada night out guide. The organiser's playbook is in the Barkada Captain, and a dinner-led version of this side of the bay is in a MOA birthday for ten.
