Date Night Manila Open the planner

Privacy

Date Night Manila has no accounts and collects very little. This page lists all of it.

What is collected

  • Anonymous usage events. When you open the app or site, start the quiz, get a plan or tap a link, a short event is recorded with a random session id made on your device, the platform (web, iPhone or Android), the app version, and a few plan settings such as the area, the occasion and the budget band. Events never include your name, your email or anything you type.
  • Your email address, only if you give it. For example when you ask to be told about the app launch or a new area, or ask for a plan to be sent to you. It is stored with what you asked for and the fact that you ticked the consent box.
  • Group booking requests, only if you send one. The request holds your email, the area, the occasion, the group size, the date, the places in the plan and any note you add.

What is not collected

  • No accounts and no passwords.
  • No advertising identifiers, and no advertising or tracking software from other companies.
  • No location. The planner asks which area you want; it does not read your GPS position.
  • No cookies. The random session id and any plans you save are kept in your browser's or phone's own storage and stay on your device.

Where it is stored

The events, emails and booking requests are stored in a database hosted by Supabase. The app can only add rows to it; it cannot read them back. They are used to see which parts of the planner are useful, to send the emails you asked for, and to answer booking requests. They are not sold or shared for advertising.

Links to other sites

Plans and guides link to Google Maps and to venue websites. Those sites have their own privacy practices.

How to have your data deleted

Email hello@datenightmanila.com from the address you gave and ask for deletion. Your email and any booking requests will be removed, and you will get a reply confirming it. To clear the session id and saved plans, delete the app or clear this site's data in your browser. More detail is on the data request page.

Your rights in the Philippines

If you are in the Philippines, you have rights under the Data Privacy Act of 2012 (Republic Act No. 10173), including the right to be informed, to access and correct your personal data, to object to its processing, to have it erased, and to complain to the National Privacy Commission.
