Bars in BGC by Budget: Speakeasy, Rooftop, Club
The bars in BGC fall into two budget levels: Bank Bar, The Back Room and No Entry at ₱500 to ₱1,500 a head, and The Peak at ₱1,500 and up. After the bars close at 1am or 2am, the clubs at The Palace run to 4am, which gives a barkada three levels to choose from and a clear order to do them in.
None of these bars is under ₱500 a head, so the cheap round of the night is dinner, not drinks.
The list, by price and closing time
₱500 to ₱1,500 a head
- Bank Bar: a speakeasy entered from behind a convenience store, at the RCBC Savings Bank Corporate Center on 26th St. Open until 1am.
- The Back Room: a 1920s-style gin speakeasy inside Shangri-La The Fort, named in Tatler Best Bars 2026. It runs late.
- No Entry: a BGC bar named in Tatler Best Bars 2026. Look it up on the map before making it the last stop.
₱1,500 and up a head
- The Peak: a rooftop bar on floors 60 to 62 of the Grand Hyatt, billed as the country's highest. Indoor and outdoor space. It runs late.
After the bars
- The clubs at The Palace in Uptown, which run to 4am.
Level one: the speakeasy round
The two hidden-door bars are the entry level, and each suits a different kind of group.
Bank Bar has the better story: someone leads the barkada into a convenience store and out the back into a bar. It also has the firmest closing time on this page, 1am, which makes it easy to plan around.
The Back Room is the gin choice, and the rain choice, because it sits inside a hotel with eight food and drink outlets. If one person in the group wants dinner while the rest want drinks, that is solved without anyone going outside.
The two are compared door by door in the BGC speakeasy page.
Level two: the rooftop
The Peak costs more and gives a different night: three floors at the top of the Grand Hyatt, with both indoor and outdoor space. At ₱1,500 and up a head, a group of six should expect ₱9,000 or more between them.
It works as a first stop as well as a last one. A 2025 guide to Manila's sunset spots lists it, so arriving before dusk is worth the earlier start. The full sums are in BGC's rooftop bar, costed.
Level three: The Palace
When the bars shut, The Palace is what is left. Its clubs run to 4am.
Ask for the door charge and the table minimum in writing and compare them per head. The method is in a group night at The Palace.
For a barkada: call ahead
A bar behind a hidden door may not have room for ten, so message it with the head count before turning up. Plan the group part of the night around dinner instead: Bolero for Spanish food in large sharing portions, COCHI for modern Filipino, and Locavore at Forbes Town all take big groups, at ₱500 to ₱1,500 a head. Eat there together first, then split into smaller tables for the bars.
Picking a level
- About ₱1,000 to ₱3,000 a head for the night: a group dinner, then one speakeasy. Finish by 1am.
- About ₱2,000 to ₱3,000 and up: dinner, then the rooftop.
- Open-ended: dinner, a speakeasy, then The Palace until 4am, with the club's prices settled beforehand.
These are the price levels added together, so treat them as a guide to the level and not as a bill.
