The Peak at Grand Hyatt: BGC's Rooftop Bar, Costed

The Peak is the rooftop bar in BGC to book for an anniversary: floors 60 to 62 of the Grand Hyatt, billed as the country's highest, at ₱1,500 and up a head. Budget ₱3,000 or more for two at the bar alone, arrive before dusk, and decide in advance whether dinner happens here, before, or somewhere else entirely.

When to arrive

Arrive before sunset. A 2025 guide to Manila's sunset spots lists the bar, so book for about an hour before dusk. That covers the last of the daylight, the sunset and the first hour of night in one sitting.

Because it runs late, the reverse also works. After a long dinner it can be the last stop of the night instead of the first.

Three ways to cost the evening

Treat these as planning levels, not quotes.

Drinks only: ₱3,000 and up for two. The bar by itself, arriving for sunset. This is the version for a monthsary, or for an anniversary in a month when money is tight. Eat properly beforehand.

A Bib Gourmand dinner, then the rooftop: about ₱4,000 to ₱6,000 and up for two. Dinner first at a ₱500 to ₱1,500 a head restaurant, then up for a nightcap. Em Hà Nội is known for phở gà and nem rán, Los Tacos MNL for tacos made with Oaxacan technique, and Bolero for Spanish food in large sharing portions. All three hold a Michelin Bib Gourmand.

A tasting menu, then the rooftop: ₱13,000 and up for two. Gallery by Chele holds one Michelin star and its tasting menus run ₱5,000 to ₱7,500, so two menus are ₱10,000 to ₱15,000 before the bar is added. What to ask when booking

1. What time the bar opens, and what time the outdoor area opens.
2. Whether a table can be held for a set time, and whether there is a minimum spend.
3. Whether there is a dress code.
4. Whether the indoor floor is open if it rains.
5. Whether anything can be arranged for an anniversary, and what it costs.

Send these in one message. Getting the answers in writing avoids a surprise at the lift.

If the weather turns

Rain is the weak point of BGC in general, because the High Street spine is open-air. This bar is one of the area's answers to it: hotel bars are the cover, and this one has indoor space as well as outdoor.

What rain does take away is the sunset. If the forecast is poor, move the booking later and treat it as a nightcap. For a second indoor option, The Back Room is a 1920s-style gin speakeasy inside Shangri-La The Fort, at the lower ₱500 to ₱1,500 a head.
