Gateway Mall Restaurants: Where to Eat, Floor by Floor

Gateway Mall restaurants are spread over two buildings. Gateway Mall 2 has Grace Park, Din Tai Fung and Mamou on the ground floor, Palenque, Vikings Luxury Buffet and Dookki on Upper Ground B, and the World Kitchens food hall on Level 4. Gateway Mall 1 has the Food Express food court on Level 3 and Mama Lou's Italian Kitchen on Level 2.

This covers the main tables, not every counter in the mall. Prices below are per head.

Gateway Mall 2, ground floor

• Grace Park: Filipino farm-to-table cooking, with soy garlic lamb chops and Negros organic lechon on the menu. ₱500 to ₱1,500. Pet-friendly, and open until 11 PM.
• Din Tai Fung: a Taiwanese restaurant. ₱500 to ₱1,500.
• Mamou: steak and comfort food. ₱500 to ₱1,500.
• UCC Park Café: a café, and a good table when nobody is drinking. ₱500 to ₱1,500.
• Dessert: the Che Buono gelato counter and Tokyo Milk Cheese Factory, both under ₱500.

Gateway Mall 2, Upper Ground A and B

Upper Ground A is the lighter floor: Mary Grace Cafe, a café and bakery at ₱500 to ₱1,500, and llao llao for frozen yogurt.

Wolfgang's Steakhouse spans Upper Ground and Upper Ground B. It is the one table in either mall at ₱1,500 and up a head.

Upper Ground B is the group floor:

• Palenque: a regional Filipino food hall with stalls such as Palm Grill and Nasi by Bale Dutung. Walk in; no booking is needed. ₱500 to ₱1,500.
• Vikings Luxury Buffet: an international buffet with a carving station. It takes reservations. ₱500 to ₱1,500.
• Dookki: unlimited cook-it-yourself tteokbokki and Korean hotpot. ₱500 to ₱1,500.
• Dessert: Puffy's Souffle Pancake Cafe for soufflé pancakes, ₱500 to ₱1,500, and Caramia Cakes & Gelato, under ₱500.

The landmark on this level is Quantum Skyview, an atrium under an LED ceiling. "Under the LED ceiling" is a meeting point nobody can get wrong.

Gateway Mall 2, Levels 2 to 5

Level 2. Cong Caphe, a Vietnamese café, under ₱500.

Level 3. The activity floor, with Paeng's Gateway Bowl and Timezone Gateway 2.

Level 4. World Kitchens is a food hall of 15 show kitchens, with dishes such as cochinillo, gambas al ajillo and unagi hitsumabushi, at ₱500 to ₱1,500 a head. Inside it are The Whisky Bar and World Cellar, a wine room. The same level has Wolfgang's Premiere Lounge, a dine-in cinema where the ticket includes a burger or sandwich.

Level 5. No food, but Sensory Gardens is a roof garden for a daylight walk after a meal.

Gateway Mall 1

• Level 2: Mama Lou's Italian Kitchen, an Italian restaurant. ₱500 to ₱1,500.
• Level 3: Food Express, a food court with stalls such as Bebang Halo-Halo, Sisig Hooray and Salo Lechon Belly Kitchen. Under ₱500, and walk-in.
• Level 3: the second branch of Mary Grace Cafe.

Hours that differ from the mall's

Araneta City's mall hours are 10 AM to 9 PM from Sunday to Thursday and 10 AM to 10 PM on Fridays and Saturdays. The restaurants and cafés above keep them unless they are on this list:

• Grace Park: 10 AM to 11 PM daily. This is the table for a late dinner or after a film.
• World Kitchens: 11:30 AM to 3 PM and 5:30 PM to 10 PM from Monday to Thursday, 10:30 AM to 11 PM on Fridays and Saturdays, 11 AM to 10 PM on Sundays. Do not arrive at 4 PM from Monday to Thursday.
• Vikings Luxury Buffet: lunch from 11 AM to 2:30 PM and dinner from 5:30 PM to 10 PM, daily.
• The Whisky Bar and World Cellar: check their pages for their own hours.

One more table sits just outside the mall. Le Bistro is the French restaurant on the ground floor of ibis Styles, the hotel above the Gateway expansion. It is open from 10 AM to 10 PM daily, at ₱500 to ₱1,500 a head.

Choosing by what the meal is for

A floor plan answers "where"; it does not answer "which". For that:

• A group of eight or more. Stay on Upper Ground B or go to the food court in Gateway Mall 1. The comparison is in Gateway Mall 2 restaurants that seat a big group.
