World Kitchens at Gateway Mall 2: Dinner, Wine, Whisky

World Kitchens is a food hall of 15 show kitchens on Level 4 of Gateway Mall 2 in Cubao, with a wine room and a whisky bar inside it. That makes a three-stop date possible without leaving the floor: a glass at World Cellar, dinner from the kitchens, and a highball at The Whisky Bar to finish.

The hours, and the weekday gap

The food hall's hours are the frame for everything else:

• Monday to Thursday: 11:30 AM to 3 PM, then 5:30 PM to 10 PM
• Friday and Saturday: 10:30 AM to 11 PM
• Sunday: 11 AM to 10 PM

The trap is the weekday afternoon. From Monday to Thursday the hall is closed between 3 PM and 5:30 PM, so a late lunch or an early drink does not work on those days. On every day of the week it closes an hour after the mall does, which is a point in its favour for a dinner that starts at 7:30 PM.

Both bars are inside the hall, so plan the last drink for before the hall closes, and check each bar's page for hours of its own.

Stop one: the wine room

World Cellar is a wine room with space for up to 4,000 bottles. It opened in January 2026, and it is the calm, formal corner of the floor.

Begin here for that reason. A first glass somewhere calm sets a slower pace than walking straight into a hall with 15 kitchens going.

Stop two: dinner from the show kitchens

The hall has 15 show kitchens, and the three dishes to know show the spread: cochinillo entero, gambas al ajillo and unagi hitsumabushi. Two of those names are Spanish and one is Japanese.

For two people, that range is the point. One person can go Spanish and the other Japanese, and nobody has compromised. Expect ₱500 to ₱1,500 a head.

The hall takes big groups as well as pairs, and it is not the quiet option. If the plan needs a hush, the wine room is the calmer place to talk.

Stop three: the whisky bar

The Whisky Bar is a whisky and highball bar inside the hall. Two highballs to know by name: a Butter Beer and a Salted Caramel Pineapple. Order one each and swap halfway.

On a Friday or Saturday, with the hall open until 11 PM, this stop can run long. From Sunday to Thursday, be seated by 9 PM.

Before and after, without going far

The rest of the floor and the floor below fill out the evening.

• A film. Gateway Cineplex 18 and Wolfgang's Premiere Lounge are on the same level. Dinner at 5:30 PM and a film after is the simplest pairing in the mall.
• Bowling. Paeng's Gateway Bowl is one floor down on Level 3, with 24 lanes and six billiard tables, open until midnight.
• A photo. Quantum Skyview, the atrium under an LED ceiling, is on Upper Ground B and keeps mall hours.
• Something sweet. Caramia Cakes & Gelato on Upper Ground B and the Che Buono gelato counter on the ground floor both close with the mall, so go before dinner on a weeknight if dessert matters.

If it is shut or full

Arriving in the weekday gap, or finding no table on a Saturday, has two fixes in the same building.

Grace Park, on the ground floor, cooks Filipino farm-to-table food from 10 AM to 11 PM daily with no afternoon break. Palenque, on Upper Ground B, is a regional Filipino food hall where you walk in with no booking, and it keeps mall hours.
