Date Night Manila Open the planner

Things to Do in MOA Besides Shopping

The best things to do in MOA besides shopping are a free rooftop park, a museum with a full-scale galleon to board, the bay esplanade at sunset and a hotel bar that runs to midnight. Two more stops sit a ride away: the free fountain show at Okada and the theme park at Star City.

Free: the rooftop and the esplanade

MOA Sky is a free rooftop park on top of SM MOA, opened on 25 February 2025. It has viewing decks, a 1 km track and an amphitheater. For two people, that is a walk with a view and somewhere to sit. For a family or a barkada, it is open space that costs nothing.

The Seaside Blvd esplanade is the open walk along the bay side of the complex, and the reason to go is the Manila Bay sunset. Both free spots are outdoors, so keep an indoor stop ready in case the sky closes in.

Ticketed: a galleon to board

Museo del Galeón opened on 1 May 2026 at Seaside Blvd corner Sunset Ave. Its centrepiece is a full-scale 17th-century galleon, and visitors go aboard. It is indoors and ticketed, and a visit should run ₱500 to ₱1,500 a head.

It is new, so check its own page for the ticket price and opening hours before fixing a meeting time. A date built around it is in the galleon museum date plan.

Eating between stops

Inside SM MOA, Bo's Coffee is the coffee stop. For a meal at ₱500 to ₱1,500 a head, The Aristocrat serves chicken barbecue and java rice, Café Adriatico is a bistro with adobo rice and palabok, and Cabalen is a Filipino buffet that takes big groups. Army Navy is the under ₱500 choice, with burgers, burritos and a bay view.

The full sort, including the two places at the Conrad, is in MOA restaurants by budget.

After dark

C Lounge at the Conrad is a hotel bar with a bay panorama and live entertainment, open to midnight and to 1 AM on Fridays and Saturdays. It costs ₱1,500 and up a head, so treat it as one drink with a view.

A ride away

Two more things sit outside the MOA complex, and each needs a ride. The fountain at Okada Manila runs a free water show every 30 minutes from 7 PM, to midnight from Friday to Sunday. Okada is in Entertainment City in Parañaque, not Pasay.

Star City is a theme park in the CCP Complex with an inverted coaster, a snow attraction and the Star Wheel. It is open Wednesday to Sunday, so do not plan it for a Monday or Tuesday. The group version is in a barkada day at the CCP Complex theme park.

One afternoon, in order

  1. Museum first. It is indoors and ticketed, so it works in any weather and sets the clock for the rest.
  2. Coffee at Bo's Coffee inside the mall.
  3. MOA Sky before sunset, for the viewing decks.
  4. The esplanade for the sunset itself, if the sky is clear.
  5. Dinner in the mall, at whichever tier fits.
  6. One drink at C Lounge, or a ride to Okada for the fountain.

On a wet day, drop steps 3 and 4. Almost everything else at MOA is indoors, which makes it the most rain-proof of the four areas.

What it costs

The rooftop and the esplanade are free. A typical night at MOA runs about ₱700 to ₱1,500 a head, so budget ₱1,400 to ₱3,000 for two. One hotel drink at the Conrad is extra.
