Poblacion Bars: A Five-Stop Crawl in Closing-Time Order

The Poblacion bars worth stringing together run in this order: Bibio for natural wine, cocktails at The Spirits Library and Run Rabbit Run, OTO before it closes at 1am, and Apotheka, which stays open until 4am. Eat dinner before the first drink.

Why this order

A crawl falls apart when the next bar is already shut. OTO closes at 1am and Apotheka runs until 4am, so those two set the shape: the listening bar is fourth, done before 1am, and the club is last.

The wine bar goes first because a glass of natural wine is a gentle way to start. The two cocktail rooms, The Spirits Library and Run Rabbit Run, both run late, which makes them the safe middle.

Poblacion's venues cluster on a few streets, so the hops are short. Pin each stop on a map before setting out, and keep the group together on the narrow sidewalks.

The five stops

  1. Bibio. A Poblacion wine bar pouring natural wine, at ₱500 to ₱1,500 a head. Use the map link on its name to find the door, and look at its own page for tonight's hours before you commit to it as the opener.
  2. The Spirits Library, 4963 Guerrero. A cocktail bar with vintage bottles, No. 98 on the Asia's Best Bars 2026 extended list. This is the round to sit down for. There is a full post on building a night around it.
  3. Run Rabbit Run, 4991 P. Guanzon. A cocktail bar in a converted house, named in Tatler Best Bars 2026.
  4. OTO, 5883 Enriquez. A listening bar with vinyl, DJ sets and cocktails, open until 1am. Arrive by 11:30pm so the stop is not a single rushed drink.
  5. Apotheka, 5672 Doña Carmen. A club with underground electronic nights and monthly drag balls, open until 4am. It is loud. Travel Gay lists it among Manila's gay dance clubs, and the post on LGBTQ+ nights in Poblacion says more.

Five stops is the full version. Three is a perfectly good night: drop the wine bar and one cocktail room, and keep whichever of the last two suits the mood.

The dry-night swap

Dr. Wine Rooftop is an open-air rooftop for wine and sangria, and it runs to 1am or 2am. On a clear evening, open there in place of Bibio. Expect ₱1,500 and up a head, a step above the other bars here.

When it rains, keep the indoor wine bar. Every bar on this route is indoors, but each walk between them is exposed, and Poblacion is the least rain-proof part of Makati. On a wet night, cut the route to three stops and carry an umbrella.

Budget and group size

Cocktails in Poblacion run ₱300 to ₱555. One drink per stop across five stops comes to ₱1,500 to ₱2,775 a head, which runs past the ₱800 to ₱2,000 a typical Poblacion night costs at the top end, so skipping a stop or two keeps the bill in range. All five bars here run ₱500 to ₱1,500 a head.

The route suits two to four people. For a party of ten, start at one long dinner table, as in a Makati birthday for ten, and take the bars in smaller groups afterwards.

Food before and after

Eat first. La Pita serves Middle Eastern food and holds a Michelin Bib Gourmand. Super Uncle Claypot does claypot rice and is Michelin Selected. Scratch Smashburgers makes smashburgers on brioche buns and is the quick choice. All three are in Poblacion, and there is more in where to eat before the bars.

After the last bar, Poblacion has 24-hour food, with late plates at ₱150 to ₱350. Ask the bar staff what is open, or treat dinner as the meal of the night.

Plan the rest

A first visit goes better with the lay of the land, which is in the first-timer's map of Poblacion. For a crawl in an area the planner already covers, see the Cubao Expo bar crawl or the wider barkada night out guide.

The night-out planner covers Cubao now, and Makati is next. The areas page shows what is live.

Questions

Which Poblacion bars stay open latest?
Apotheka is open until 4am, and Dr. Wine Rooftop runs to 1am or 2am. OTO closes at 1am. The Spirits Library and Run Rabbit Run both run late, so look at their own pages for tonight's closing hour.
How much should I budget for a Poblacion bar crawl?
Cocktails in Poblacion run ₱300 to ₱555, so one drink at each of five stops comes to about ₱1,500 to ₱2,775 a head before food. Skip a stop or two and the night lands inside the usual ₱800 to ₱2,000.
Can a big group do this crawl?
It works best for two to four people, because the sidewalks are narrow and a larger group moves slowly between bars. For a bigger party, book one dinner table first and split into smaller groups for the bars.
Where can I eat before a Poblacion bar crawl?
La Pita, Scratch Smashburgers and Super Uncle Claypot are all in Poblacion, at ₱500 to ₱1,500 a head.
